Hey, we're really getting this thing off the ground! Already have a bunch of Block Captains and a couple of Zone Captains but we need a lot more of the first - not to mention 80% of people at least signing up as "Participants". Block Captain probably takes no more than 15 hours a year (yeah, a year!) and really requires very little beyond e-mail and an occasional flyer distribution. Remember, a lot of people doing a little work will launch this thing and keep it going. I'm amazed when I walk my dog at night, how many houses have newspaper accumulations or open garage doors - sure-fire invitations to prowlers. Tip of the week is to make sure you close your garage doors when you're not outside after dusk and if you're gone for a few days, either have the Pilot halt delivery or have a neighbor grab it out of your driveway.
